A Good Story*

A title does more than name a project. Before you read a word, its letters set the tone. A Good Story* is a typeface by Didier Akinlabi Osias, now being developed alongside the work of Griot Studio.

The typeface also appears in logos across the Griot brand, connecting its different branches through a shared set of letterforms. This site is another place to see it at work: moving between a book title, an app, and an object without asking them to look the same. The typeface is still in development. This specimen shows the current working cut.

Yorùbá is part of that development. The work includes its letters, underdots, and tone marks, treating them as part of the typeface’s voice rather than an afterthought. The working cut is still being refined.
